Default why is the war pick a hammer?

i just think that picks are more akin to axes than hammers.


just a thought thought, what yall think?

HMM, Well it still relies more on blunt damage than slicing. For that reason I think it is more of a hammer.

i would think that blunt damge needs a blunt object, and the pick isnt blunt

Well if you look at the structure and physics behind it, it is more like a hammer. It features a single stiking point at the end of a long arm. It cannot really slice anything, only impact hard enough to leave damage. An axe is meant to slice, but I dont think the war pick is capable of that. So while it has features of both, I have to say it is more like a hammer.

hmmm yes, but it is my understanding that the war picks of old were used as (for lack of a better word) mini-syths. then agin the way thy have them built in this game seems to basicly be a hammer with a spike. so shall agree that in this game (at lest in the way they have them built) they should be in the hammer class.

Ah yes, I can picture what you are talking about. Historically they probably were more like axes, but the GW ones do indeed look more like and hammer.
